Half-Truths Equal Whole Lies

I was talking to a friend and in regard to one acknowledging Jesus is a prophet, but denying He is the Son of God is a half-truth which equals a whole lie. It may sound good as a Christian, like yeah, they got it half right, but to deny that ultimate truth - that Jesus was with the Father in Genesis 1:1 and with the Father in Revelation; that Jesus was the perfect Lamb without blemish, slain for us; that Jesus died for us, descended, the ascended - is to deny Christianity.

Jesus is so much more. He holds the keys of hell and death. He sits at the right hand of God, forever making intercession for us. He's our Savior, our Advocate, our King. He is our Teacher, the pattern, the Mature Son. To just call Jesus a prophet is to miss out on the vast majority of what and who He is.

I'm not sure why I'm on this so hard right now, but maybe someone needs to hear this. Jesus is God's expression of His Love for us, sent in mortal body to be around us, but not of us, to see our ugliness but not condemn, but restore; endure our hatred in the cross, yet love us enough to stay up there and die; and a love powerful enough to go down to hell, minister to those souls in prison, and NOT be held! What matter of man is this?! A man of sorrows, who knew what was in man, yet loved! He is Hosanna, Emmanuel, prince of peace, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

This is Jesus the Christ, Rabbi, Messiah, the Anointed One. This is who died for me and who now lives in me. This is my new genealogy - He is the true vine. Hallelujah!

And just to be clear, if you accept Jesus as the Son of God, then it also stands to reason that God and Allah are not the same because the Q'uran does not recognize the deity of Christ. Jesus was and is, more than a prophet, a true and upright man. He is the very logos (Word) of God.
